Inspiration Graphic Organizer

Designed for Grades 9-12

Module 4 of the semester was to create a graphic organizer using the Inspiration or Kidspiration program. The two programs are very similar with the difference being Kidspiration is for the elementary grades primarily while Inspiration is designed with older students in mind. The assignment was to create a graphic organizer for our class using one of the two programs.

I chose to design a graphic organizer for grades 9-12. I did not assign just one grade because of my topic. I chose to design an organizer based on the shapes atoms form during bonding (molecular geometry). Students first receive this information in chemistry. Depending on the district, chemistry can be taken at the end of ninth grade or anytime during grades 10-12. Even in more advanced chemistry courses this can be used as a reminder either in a notebook or on the wall.
